Globacom’s Zonal Business Coordinator, Adebola Omoboya, has said that the recently launched Glo Free Data Day Offer “is a unique opportunity to enjoy a robust calling and browsing experience on the Glo network.” He told his audience at the Lagos launch that the new product would give opportunity to subscribers to do so much more on the internet by browsing free of charge for a whole day:
“We appreciate the essence of the internet in today’s world. We are through this product empowering our customers in an unprecedented way in their business, social and educational pursuits. Imagine your telecommunications solutions provider dashing you a whole 200MB to browse the net without inhibition! This is what total telecommunications solutions provider, Globacom has brought to its teeming subscribers with its newly launched ‘Free Data Day’ offer.”
…. He said for a telecommunications outfit, which has serenaded its millions of subscribers for 14 years since 2003 when it pioneered the per second billing regime, Globacom has not relented in its bid to satisfy its subscribers by giving them 200MG free of charge after seven successive days of data usage on the network. This means that customers enjoy free data for a whole day when they meet the voice and/or data usage threshold within seven days. The offer is open to all prepaid subscribers.
To have access to a Free Data Day, Omoboya explained, “subscribers are expected to spend N250 or more on calls within seven days to a free data day or spend at least N150 on calls and use a minimum of 100MB of data within seven days to the free data day from any or a combination of methods such as Pay as you use, purchase of data plan and usage from existing data plan.
“Customers are subsequently notified when they have qualified and that they do not need to dial any code to opt in or subscribe to any platform before enjoying the benefits. When a customer qualifies for the offering, he would be able to enjoy free data usage throughout that day, and the fair usage policy will be applicable.”
